About

Founder, The AG Effect | Former Federal Executive | Leadership Coach (www.AGeffect.com)

Angela Gladwell is a former senior federal executive with more than 25 years of experience leading complex programs, managing crises, and guiding teams through change. Most recently, she directed high-profile recovery and resilience efforts at FEMA, where she built new programs from the ground up, navigated political pressures, and worked across agencies to deliver results under intense public scrutiny.

Today, Angela brings that same clarity and courage to her work as a leadership coach and founder of The AG Effect. She helps leaders align their values with their actions, set boundaries that prevent burnout, and step into roles of greater impact with confidence. Her coaching blends lived experience in government with evidence-based practices in resilience, psychological safety, and authentic leadership.

Angela holds a deep belief that leadership is most powerful when it is both authentic and adaptive—grounded in personal values yet flexible enough to navigate uncertainty. She works with executives, government leaders, and mission-driven professionals who want to grow without losing themselves along the way.

When she’s not coaching, Angela can be found in the Virginia mountains with her family, making apple butter with friends (a 20-year tradition), or walking her two rescue dogs.
