I have dedicated my 25-year career to environmental protection and sustainable development, especially the nexus of human interaction with nature. I excel at building trusted relationships with stakeholders, local communities, and government agencies to co-design innovative solutions for complex environmental issues. I’ve led interdisciplinary teams to design and manage a broad range of projects, from small grants to local NGOs, to multi-million-dollar federal construction projects.
I spent two months volunteering on a biological reserve in the Amazon rainforest after high school, where I discovered my passion for protecting natural areas and environmental conservation. I'm mission-driven and have been fortunate to work with organizations to carry out this mission throughout my career.
I've lived in many different countries: Panama, Ecuador, El Salvador, Australia, Cambodia, Afghanistan, and within the U.S. in Virginia, Maryland, and Missouri. I'm fluent in Spanish and speak basic Khmer. I love learning about different cultures, history, languages, and especially the food!
