Strategic Communications Consultant

Anthony Rivera-Rodriguez has a decade of experience in communications working in high-pressure, high-visibility and high-stakes positions. He currently consults for political, for-profit, and non-profit clients under his firm Minnow Co (TheMinnowCo.com).
Anthony cut his teeth working as Press Secretary for U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein while she served as the top-ranking Democrat on the Judiciary Committee. He helped run communications on a variety of issues including tech policy (section 230 reform, election interference, antitrust, CFIUS); energy and environmental issues (nuclear reform/regulations); high-profile judicial nominations and confirmations (including three Supreme Court nominations); gun control; immigration; federal drug policies; and others.
He went on to serve as Communications Director for U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper. There he built and managed a communications team and served as a senior advisor to the senator. He oversaw communications for a wide range of policy areas including Western water; electric grid and permitting reform; science and innovation policy; Senate Commerce Committee issues (industry regulation, workforce development); AI and semiconductor policy (AI frameworks, third party auditors, privacy standards, CHIPS and Science implementation, semiconductor sanctions); financial services regulations (retirement reform, crypto regulation); and others.
Before entering politics Anthony had a nascent career in the craft beer industry, starting as a small brewery’s first employee and ending in the marketing department at BrewDog. He holds degrees from the University of Alabama and the London School of Economics.
Anthony lives in San Francisco.
