About

Initially from northern Florida, I attended undergrad on Long Island before moving to Prague, Czechia for the next five years. Returning to DC with an MA in International Economics and Political Studies I started working with the Office of Food for Peace at USAID. I focused on grants and contracts management, deciphering and clarifying laws, rules, regulations, and policies for colleagues. I mostly focused on development programs in Africa at this time (Liberia, Uganda, Madagascar, Kenya).
I shifted to humanitarian programs, covering the Middle East (Syria, Yemen, Turkiye, Lebanon, Jordan), where my career abruptly ended after more than a decade. I am extremely interested in the post-transitional development of Syria, and took a personal jaunt to Damascus in July 2025 to see for myself. The energy and ambition are palpable and I look forward to watching this change.
I am permanently based in Istanbul, Turkiye, currently working in Business Development across a range of industries. I have significant knowledge of resettlement both personal and commercial.
