About

Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick (CCK Law) has helped shape modern veterans benefits law through precedent-setting litigation, and we are proud to have the largest team of U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)-accredited attorneys and advocates in the country. I am a Partner at CCK Law, where I lead efforts in representing veterans and their families before the VA and the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC).

With nearly 20 years of concentrated legal experience in veterans benefits law, my career has been defined by high-level public service and advocacy. I previously served as a Veterans Law Judge at the Board of Veterans’ Appeals (BVA), a position requiring Presidential approval and appointed by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. In that capacity, I adjudicated thousands of complex appeals, shaping outcomes for veterans across the nation. My earlier roles include Counsel in the BVA’s Office of Quality Review, Associate Counsel at the BVA, and attorney law clerk to the Honorable Alan G. Lance, Sr., at the CAVC.

I have remained deeply engaged in thought leadership, legal reform, and professional service throughout my career. Currently, I serve as the 2024–2025 Vice Chair of the State Bar of Texas Military and Veterans Law Section and a member of the Texas Bar College, and I have held senior leadership roles with:

• The Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims Historical Society (Founding Member, Past President)
• The CAVC Bar Association (Past President and Treasurer)
• The Federal Circuit Bar Association (Chair, Veterans Appeals Committee)

I have served on the CAVC Rules Advisory Committee and contributed to rulemaking and policy discussions at the highest levels. I frequently present at national legal conferences and academic institutions, including Texas Tech, the University of Georgia, William & Mary, George Washington University, and Washington & Lee. My legal scholarship has been published in the Federal Circuit Bar Journal, Veterans Law Review, and the Law Review of the Reserve Organization of America (ROA).

My advocacy is rooted in an unwavering commitment to securing justice for veterans and elevating the standards of our profession. If you are an attorney, advocate, or referring professional seeking elite representation for a VA disability appeal, I welcome the opportunity to collaborate.
