GLOBAL STRATEGY, INNOVATION & PARTNERSHIPS EXECUTIVE
My focus has always been on creating and scaling profitable innovations.
While consulting in Silicon Valley, I introduced user research at industrial design firms so they and their clients could invent things people wanted to buy. You can read about that in my book, “Creating Breakthrough Ideas.” I started a company at an incubator in Alameda, California to develop and introduce specialty chemicals to extract metals from waste water at semiconductor, printed circuit board, and plating shops.
While a Private Enterprise Officer at USAID, I strengthened commercial opportunities for the U.S. and foreign nations and their companies by promoting technical innovations, market improvements, and trade relations throughout Central and South Asia and the Horn of Africa.
I designed and managed projects and people that increased production, revenues and profits, and international trade for minerals, agricultural products (coffee, avocados, dairy, livestock, and grains), and textiles. Working with foreign banks, I expanded financial markets and introduced new financial instruments that mobilized investments for energy, consumer products and industrial goods. In India, I was improving collaboration between USAID and corporate organizations to strengthen supply chains for critical minerals, create technologies and policies for artificial intelligence, and securing U.S. investments in finance, 5G technologies, IT and energy.
I succeeded because I understood the U.S. strategic interests as well as the local economies, markets, politics and cultures. I earned an MBA (University of Chicago) and Ph.D. in anthropology (University of Florida). I have taken several courses on artificial intelligence to learn more about business applications, its engineering, and its adoption by corporations.
I am looking for my new mission and a team as passionate about creating the future as I am.
