About

With over a decade of experience as a civil service officer and contractor at the U.S. Department of State, I specialize in developing and implementing evidence-based policies to combat human trafficking and protect children affected by armed conflict. My work spans more than 20 countries across the Middle East, North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa, where I've built coalitions with governments, civil society organizations, and international partners to drive meaningful change.

What drives my work: I believe in the power of strategic advocacy and cross-sector collaboration to create systemic change. Whether I'm authoring country assessments for the annual Trafficking in Persons Report, briefing senior leadership on emerging security threats, or working directly with survivors and advocates in the field, I'm committed to ensuring that policy decisions are grounded in human rights principles, national security, and real-world impact.

Key areas of expertise:
• Anti-trafficking policy development and implementation
• Children and armed conflict (CAAC) programming
• Coalition building across government, NGO, and multilateral sectors
• Regional expertise in MENA and Sub-Saharan Africa
• Strategic communications and stakeholder engagement
• Capacity building for civil society and government partners

Recent achievements: Led the inclusion of West Bank & Gaza in the 2023 TIP Report through desk research, field interviews, and stakeholder engagement to align with broader advocacy goals—resulting in the first U.S. government-backed assessment of human trafficking in the Palestinian Territories and the first comprehensive review of trafficking trends in over a decade. I also spearheaded the integration of child soldier considerations into global anti-trafficking reporting standards.
