About

Josh is the Operations Manager for ASAP (Armed Services Arts Partnership), a non-profit organization that provides support to veterans and their families through arts and performance opportunities. He is excited to be working in the intersection of performance and public service.

He recently left the U.S. Consulate Melbourne, where he served as the coordinator of the Consulate’s first Community Liaison Office. Prior to that, he worked in various State Department capacities in the Europe Bureau in DC and in the U.S. Missions to Belgium and the European Union.

Prior to joining the State Department, he worked in the Public Affairs and Crisis team for a major PR firm. In 2016, he was a field organizer for a presidential campaign and down-ballot races.

He has a Master’s degree in International Affairs: Global Governance, Politics, and Security from American University’s School of International Service with a European concentration. His Bachelor’s degrees from Georgia Southern University are in International Studies and Modern Languages with a minor in Political Science.

He is passionate about inclusivity and equity in the workplace, particularly for family members of U.S. public servants.

Outside of work, you can find him performing in theatre and cabarets around the world. He believes that real diplomacy often happens outside of formal settings and finds performing to be a great way to really connect across cultures.
