Boston College Law Review
Recent J.D. graduate. Aspiring litigator/public servant.

I am a recent graduate of Boston College Law School interested in trial and appellate litigation. While I am still early in my career, I have gained experience in both government and private practice—as a Summer Law Clerk with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Office of the General Counsel and a Summer Associate in Miller & Chevalier’s litigation department in D.C. Before law school, I worked as a staffer in Wilson Sonsini’s national security practice, assisting on CFIUS, export controls, and economic sanctions matters.
After taking the D.C. bar exam in July, I will complete a two-year staff clerkship at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Long term, I hope to build a career in public service and litigation, eventually using my skills to contribute to the public good and uphold the rule of law. I am especially interested in learning more about federal or state prosecutorial work.
I joined Former Gov to connect with and learn from others committed to public service, whether in government or private practice. I also welcome conversations with those considering law school. Feel free to reach out here or at jplabarge@outlook.com!
