About

Hi! I'm Justin and I'm your Plain Language Pal. I love telling stories, but most of all I like telling stories that connect your audiences with your broader goals.

About as long as I could write I've been creating magical worlds on paper (or in digital print now!). I've authored 2.5 books, done a number of poems, and I've made a career out of writing. What I most like doing is bringing someone's thoughts to the page. What do you want to say to your employees? What messages do you want to get to your audiences? How do you want to say it? Those are the questions I love working with people to answer.

Plain language is my passion. I have the unique ability to distill your messaging into something the general masses would understand. You want to roll out M365 at your company? Let me help you connect to your employees. You have a new benefit you want to promote? Awesome! Let's work together to find out how it impacts your coworkers and how to message it properly. It's all about the emotional connection and I understand that intimately.

I'm also all about efficiency. My favorite question is "Why?" Why are we doing it this way? How can we do this better? In every role I've been in I've made some sort of process impact that's made the organization and team better because I come in from the outside and ask that simple question.

My goal with your organization is to bring my storytelling ability, my strategic communications background, and my drive to bring together disparate teams and audiences into understanding one message: yours. Whatever it may be, I can help. I'm as complete a communications professional you'll find on the market. This diamond is looking to help your organization shine.

In my free time I dance West Coast Swing competitively, socially, and I'm performing a routine with a champion-level dancer all over the East Coast. It's fun! Give it a try! Join us!
