• The lead analyst for the budget and policy formulation for Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and the Office of National Drug Control Policy. Reviews and advises the senior career and political leadership across ASFR and HHS on SAMHSA’s annual budget request of $7.4 billion, legislative and policy issues.
• Assumes a wide range of assignments within the Office of Budget prior to SAMHSA assignment including serving at different points as the analyst for HHS’s Administration for Children and Families ($34 billion budget), the Administration for Community Living ($3 billion budget), and the Health Research and Services Administration ($15 billion budget) as well as the back-up analyst for the Indian Health Service ($7 billion budget). Also served as intermittent acting Branch Chief of the Public Health and Social Services branch (1 month).
