Design, code, test, maintain, and support, various computer systems for the Social Security Administration (SSA) using the necessary system technologies needed to provide service.

  • Worked as a senior level developer on multiple MI Central Coldfusion sub applications to utilize conversions of Oracle/DB2 database use to Postgre SQL database use. MI Central has sub applications which connect to Oracle/DB2/Postgre SQL and more sub-applications have been converted or added as Postgre SQL as a part of the modernization effort.

  • Worked as Lead Developer on the Cost Analysis System (CAS) Modernization Project which is a conversion project for Modernization of Coldfusion code to NodeJS/React code. Node JS/React were the front-end and middle-ware technologies, this effort is coded in. The system is using cloud computing servers utilizing AWS.

  • Developed new functionality, as a sole developer, for a major PII Loss Reporting Tool utilizing Microsoft SQL Server to create various supporting Tables, Stored Procedures, and Views, as well as develop new reporting and administration screens for the project. This added new reporting functionality, to keep up with modern standards, as new related technologies emerge. Additionally, this required my efforts to update the front-end application parts of Coldfusion and .Net, as well.

  • Mentored other MI Central and CAS developers with meetings and presentations, on various code systems for MI Central and CAS development.

Application tracking is used for various SSA systems such as Medicare, Disability, Redeterminations/Limited Issues, and other agencies within SSA. MI Central utilizes Coldfusion technology.

  • Developed new EJB Security routines for the MI Central Application Suite (Coldfusion using REST API through Webseal). Developed graphical Chart display routines for use in existing Reports. Maintained file module migration between Development, Validation, and Staging environments, for the MI Central Application.

  • Developed and updated common code libraries used by various Reports and Listings within MI Central. Developed applications used for reporting in the MI Central Application Suite as well as updating them with new technologies to improve the user experience. Developed new MI Central capability to drill from a Report to Listings Details application while maintaining extended security requirements necessary for viewing Listings Details.

  • Developed the new standard and code for Office Level reporting which is shared across MI Central sub-applications.

  • Mentored other MI Central developers with meetings and presentations, on various code systems within MI Central.

  • Developed a Java Application used to convert data into dynamically created Unix/Linux scripting language. The result would be used in Urban Code Deploy (UCD) used for migrating code through the lifecycle. This included both a command line and GUI interface. This was used within the MI Central Team for quick and more reliable conversion and was used for many successful Production releases.
