About

Payton Roberts is an associate in Dowd Bennett’s Dallas office. Payton brings a disciplined, results-driven approach to his practice, leveraging his military background and government experience, to secure victory in the face of complex legal challenges.

A zealous strategist, Payton has guided various types of clients – public companies, Fortune 500 corporations, closely held businesses, and individuals – in various types of disputes.

During law school, Payton gained valuable insight as an intern in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas and a judicial intern for the Honorable Patrick R. Wyrick in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.

Prior to his legal career, Payton served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps from 2015 to 2019. As a Platoon Commander and Training Officer with the First Law Enforcement Battalion, he deployed with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit in 2017. His service earned him the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. Before joining the Marine Corps, Payton worked on the official staff of the Honorable Kevin Brady in Texas’ 8th Congressional District.
