Russell Ashenden

I spent the first 10 years of my professional career as an aerospace engineer, a flight test engineer, and an atmospheric scientist. These experiences provided me a solid technical background to excel in the FBI as a high tech and computer crime investigator. I spent 20 years in the FBI combatting criminal and national security threats, capitalizing on my interpersonal, leadership and management skills to build, motivate and lead teams to address these threats. While at SPA Inc. I supported the Department of Defense in identifying risks related to undue foreign influence in DoD-funded research and developed policy, procedures and activities to mitigate unwanted tech transfer.

I am now honored to be a member of the Research Compliance Team at Harvard University.
