About
I just said goodbye to the US Department of ED after a decade. Prior to that, I served our country as a Peace Corps volunteer, and as a judicial clerk right after law school. It’s bittersweet, but I believe I can serve students better on the outside these days and have just started setting up my own educational/disability focused legal practice. Prior to working in the ED space, I was a public defender for a decade, so I’m envisioning a full-service operation serving families with complex situations that involve school services, disciplinary procedures, or involvement with law enforcement, and possibly guardianship/trust paperwork for adult children with more profound needs.
One of my children is transgender, so I’m also thinking about ways to serve that community. I’d love to connect with former public servants, especially those from U.S. Dept. of Ed or RPCVs.
